Adblue FPT engine problem: Which engines and brands?

FPT engines are present everywhere. Trucks, Tractors, Industrial machinery, Boats, agricultural and mining equipment. The different variants offer engines in line with current standards such as Tier 4F / Stage V, and therefore necessarily equipped with AdBlue and FAP/DPF systems.

Our intervention for AdBlue FPT engine problem

In order to program new data into the engine management computer of your FPT motor vehicle and thus delete various data linked to the anti-pollution system such as AdBlue or even the DPF and the EGR valve, we must act at the heart of the program. Some computers and machines allow new data to be read and written directly via the manufacturer’s diagnostic socket provided for communication purposes. However, it is possible that the accesses are more locked on certain machines and we intervene as a result, directly by dismantling the engine management box (without opening it) but by plugging directly into the sockets of the computer, which allows us to thwart certain securities.

Our intervention therefore consists of reading the vehicle’s original information, saving it in the event of a return to origin, then modifying it in order to circumvent certain AdBlue management parameters, for example. Note that the use of a vehicle without AdBlue or DPF is in itself prohibited in Europe. However, you can carry out this operation if you are exporting your vehicle or if you are going to work abroad with your machine. We have the original program which will allow us, when you return, to switch to a machine that meets the anti-pollution criteria.

Although this operation is invisible during a technical inspection, it therefore remains prohibited, only you can be held responsible.

 

What to do if you break down on a construction site or in a critical condition?

If you run out of AdBlue with your FPT engine machine and aware that you generally cannot travel with it, we come directly to the site to intervene.

We will ask you for some information before our intervention, in particular the references of the engine computer in question.

When the operation takes place via the manufacturer’s diagnostic socket, we can intervene externally.
If need to disassemble the engine computer of the vehicle in this case a shelter will then be necessary to carry out the disassembly

When we intervene on the system and confirm our arrival, then we are sure to be able to repair your vehicle.
On FPT engines we do not add an additional box, so everything is transparent.
Under no circumstances can our programming be modified, UNLESS you go to the dealer and they flash the engine ECU, ie it replaces our modified software with a factory update.
You can read and erase faults not relating to the Adblue or the anti-pollution system, in any event faults linked to SCR DPF or EGR will no longer be displayed.
In the event that our programming is erased by mistake, you do not have to pay the full amount. But 50%. This being the case, we strongly advise you to stipulate not to update the engine management unit, especially as some new versions could prevent us from reconfiguring certain functions following a factory version that is too recent.
