Deutz Fahr Adblue Trouble

Deutz Engines
Specializing in agriculture, recent agricultural vehicles produced by Deutz Fahr that meet the most stringent standards in terms of pollution are mainly equipped with Deutz engines. These are TCD engines that meet Tier 4F / Stage 5 standards. These engines are managed by a control unit called EMR (EMR4) for the most recent in which the feedback and errors due to the post-processing system of gases are present. Most of these engines are fitted with an EGR valve, a particle filtration device (FAP/DPF) and AdBlue (SCR system).

Neutralization of the Deutz Fahr emission control system: SCR system

Neutralizing the post-treatment system (ie removing Adblue Deutz Fahr) consists initially of deactivating the operation of Adblue on the vehicle. In fact, the consumption of DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) fluid is stopped and the various elements such as the pump, the NOx sensors, the AdBlue injector can be disconnected

Adblue (DEF) consumption will be zero
No more AdBlue warning lights on the dashboard
Deactivation of Limp mode (torque reduction)
The elements relating to the Adblue Deutz Fahr system can be disconnected.

Neutralization of the Deutz Fahr emission control system: The FAP (DPF)

Deutz engines are also equipped with particulate filters, as their name suggests they filter micro particles. Located just after the catalytic converter, the particle filter gradually clogs with the soot produced by the engine. It fills up and this tends to affect the proper functioning of the engine: a regeneration process (burning of soot) of the device then becomes essential. After a certain time and when the level of soot reached is higher than normal, the problems begin: Inability to regenerate because the level of soot is too high and the vehicle is placed in degraded mode, which restricts the performance of the tractor or the machine. Removing the device on Deutz engine is quite complex but we have a definitive and reliable solution, it is an option to add to the SCR system according to your needs because it is expensive, but still less than if you had to replace the complete exhaust system .

More regeneration of the particulate filter
Dashboard faults permanently erased
No more sound alert
The particulate filter can and should (recommended) be emptied because the soot will no longer be burned
Deactivation of Limp mode (degraded mode with reduced engine torque).

Neutralization of the Deutz Fahr emission control system: The EGR valve

The EGR valve allows the recirculation of exhaust gases in the intake in order to burn them a second time. This function, although taking care to reduce pollution in the air, increases it in your engine. Indeed this anti-mechanical element returns the unburned in the admission to burn them a second time… Result you return dirty gases in the admission while we are told that for a better performance the air must contain the most of oxygen molecules possible… Neutralizing this valve therefore avoids fouling of the engine and the intake ducts of your Deutz engine on your Deutz Fahr machine. The valve can be physically disconnected and sealed with a metal plate to prevent any passage of gas.

Optimum engine operation
Possible blockage of the EGR valve
Physical disconnection applicable
Faults relating to neutralized EGR valve problems in the EMR4 engine control unit.
No engine torque restriction due to EGR valve failure

Deutz Fahr: Support and feasibility of AdBlue removal and gas post-treatment

All Deutz engines
All vehicles equipped with EGR valve FAP and SCR (Adblue)
All Bosch EDC17 and MD1 type EMR4 ECUs
All TCD engines meeting Tier 4F / Stage V standards.

System emulation by EMR4 programming

The removal of the pollution control device on Deutz Fahr machines is done directly in the EMR engine management unit. The memory of this one is saved beforehand (in case of necessary backtracking). We connect either via the manufacturer’s diagnostic socket or via the bench method directly to the pinout of the engine ECU. We do not open the box. The programmed operating data therefore makes it possible to:

Neutralize the complete emission control system
Avoid setting in degraded mode and loss of power/torque
Increase engine performance, better torque and power handling
Emulate operating data by reverse method (DPF Soot back to Zero).

Adblue Deutz Fahr removal: Mercedes engines

Mercedes engines
Like Deutz engines, the Mercedes engines fitted to the largest machines in the range are subject to Adblue problems. It is also possible for us to remove the emission control system from these vehicles. SCR DPF and EGR valve can be disabled.

Mercedes engines and feasibility

Mercedes engines operate somewhat differently from Deutz engines. In fact, the post-treatment of the exhaust gases is done by two modules connected together via the CAN BUS network. These are the MCM (Motor Control Module) and the ACM (After Treatment Contol Module). Since the signals from these two boxes go up via the vehicle’s communication network, it is necessary to modify the data in the two computers

MCM and ACM HDEP (2.1) until 2019/2020
For machines up to 2018/2019 with Hardware D4 we go directly through the Bench method to operate.
For machines up to 2020, it is necessary to open the MCM box to unlock the read and write operations of the program before.
Désactivation SCR DPF EGR possible

For machines from 2021 and up
The MCM box is reprogrammable after unlocking read / write operations but the new generation ACM does not yet allow data modification. This is the ACM3 model
We are doing everything we can to find a way to read and write programming data to these new ECUs.

Contact tuningtruckservice.com for service and monitoring of your machine regarding its AdBlue defects.

We are aware that it is not easy to bring us your tractor or harvester so that we can find the necessary solution. For this reason we offer our service throughout France by moving to your home, and even further, since we make trips throughout Europe and sometimes even in other non-EU countries. Do not hesitate to contact us if you encounter Adblue problems with your Deutz Fahr machine and you cannot solve them. We will definitely have a solution for you.
