Removal Adblue Terex XR400 engine Scania DC09070A

Remove adblue on Terex XR400

We faced a recurring adblue problem on a Terex brand crusher. Indeed, the machine enters degraded mode and it is no longer possible to crush. After multiple part changes by Scania, it turns out that the problem is still present and the loss of money is colossal when the machine is not running. The purpose of our intervention will be to reprogram the complete EMS S8 system in order to permanently eliminate the problem.

How to perform the adblue removal operation?
First, note the fault codes present on the machine and using our tools. The Scania SPN codes and machine owners as well as the description direct us to the problem. However, all the fault codes relating to the Adblue system will be eliminated, but for safety we take care to note those currently present to remove them from the memory and override their ACTIVE state.

Removal of the engine computer and reprogramming of the Adblue parameters
Once all the codes have been memorized and identified, we move on to the reprogramming part. This part of the intervention consists of modifying all the engine parameters, shunting the Adblue system electronically, removing the LIMP mode relating to emissions (restricted power mode)… The programming is done on the table since there is no OBD diagnostic socket on the vehicle. (We now have an adapter that we have designed which saves us from dismantling the motor box for future interventions.

After reprogramming Adblue on Terex XR400?
Once the system has been reprogrammed, we reinstall the engine computer in its place. We take care to test the machine and check that all the data is ok, that the Adblue faults previously present are now inactive. Below is the machine running at 1600 rpm without loss of power or error message.
