Remove adblue faults on CAT 966M

Permanently remove adblue on Caterpillar 966M
CAT 966M loaders are equipped with CAT C9.3 engines that comply with the Tier 4F emission standard. Until 2020 they are generally designed with ADEM V engine computers. We can intervene on the deactivation of the adblue system present on these machines, and this in a definitive way so that the lights present on the dashboard disappear forever.

Here are some of the possible causes of a faulty adblue system on a loader equipped with the 2019 CAT C9.3 engine which is Tier 4F compliant:

Failure of the adblue pump: the adblue pump is responsible for injecting the adblue liquid into the exhaust system. If it is faulty, the adblue system will not work properly. DTC present on dashboard usually with level II severity. (Reduced engine performance)
Failure of the adblue injector: the adblue injector is responsible for injecting the adblue liquid into the exhaust stream. If the injector is faulty, the adblue system will not work properly.
Adblue liquid level too low: it is important to ensure that the adblue liquid level is correctly filled. If the level is too low, the adblue system will not work properly. It could also be a gauge problem.
Electrical problem: there could be an electrical problem that prevents the adblue system from working properly. This can be caused by a battery failure, a blown fuse or an electrical connection problem, rarer but already seen.

The limp mode on CAT 966M

Emissions-related limp mode may activate when the engine detects a fault in the emissions management system. This can be caused by a sensor failure, catalyst issue, or any other issue that is preventing the engine from performing optimally.

Limp mode can also activate when the engine detects a problem with the diesel particulate filter (DPF). The DPF is an essential part of the emissions management system that traps soot particles and other contaminants in the exhaust gases. If the DPF becomes clogged or damaged, the engine may go into limp mode to protect the engine and emissions management system.

When the particle filter is clogged and depending on the percentage of soot present inside, then once again different levels of severity are activated. Level I, low severity requires user regeneration. Level II generates performance restriction mode (reduced torque and motor power), and induces the motor to use only a certain percentage of power. (The suitcase gives us the restriction rate). Level III generally requires the physical intervention of a technician as well as mandatory parts changes. In 95% of cases, the excessively clogged particle filter cannot be regenerated and even by resetting the level of ash and soot present, only replacing the DPF will allow the vehicle to operate normally again.

With our program it is the Remove adblue on Caterpillar 966M in a final way

Following our reprogramming, the defects will be definitively eliminated, but in the case of a totally clogged particle filter then it will be mandatory to remove it mechanically. The Adblue computer can be disconnected without displaying any DTC code on the dashboard. The operation of the machine will be optimal and you will no longer be able to break down.

Possible operations on the entire Caterpillar range
Our know-how allows us to work on all Cat machines, all engines and computers combined. You can find the summary and the feasibility of CAT machines on our explanatory page as well as all our operations already carried out here.
