Scania S730 NOx problem: Our solutions
Introduction :
The emission control system on Scania S730 with DC16 107 engine can sometimes cause problems. Indeed, the NOx sensors are the main faulty elements. These sensors are managed by 2 modules, the EMS and the EEC3. NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) sensors measure the levels of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gases of a diesel engine.
Fault related to NOx sensors and consequences
A drop in engine performance: If NOx levels are too high, it can have a negative impact on engine performance. In addition, there will be a reduction in engine torque, then a speed limited to 20km/h thereafter.

Temporary or permanent troubleshooting solution for a NOx problem
We specialize in programming vehicle memories to counter faults related to DPF/SCR systems. Engine and post-processing management therefore checks the values and feedback of faults. So our goal is to eliminate faults by reprogramming the engine management unit. In addition, this avoids performance restriction of the vehicle’s engine. When NOx control is disabled, then the truck no longer has power and speed restriction mode. However, note that this solution should only be used in an emergency in order to avoid the creation of a potential accident following a degraded speed of the vehicle on the road.
However, the user is responsible for the use he makes of it, but note that it is not authorized to drive with an emissions system that does not comply with the standard in force in the country in which you are driving.
Putting this system on a switch therefore makes it possible to activate it on demand and to be able to remain in compliance depending on the place where you work. If you go with the vehicle outside Europe, then deactivating the system allows you to drive safely without Adblue since it is difficult to be able to refuel in countries such as Morocco or Tunisia for example. We can improve engine power and torque for a better driving experience. Indeed, the S730, 16L DC16 107 engine equipped with EGR and variable geometry turbo gains 80 horsepower and 350Nm of torque on average. This also reduces fuel consumption by a few liters, but it depends on the type of work being done, the road, as well as the driving, which must be smooth.
